Students are eligible to take the state road test when they have a certificate of completion for the:

30-hour driver’s education class (Joshua's Law)
-
4-hour Alcohol Drug Awareness Program class (ADAP)
-
6 hours of behind-the-wheel training
These certificates can be earned at AA Academy of Action Driving School or any State Certified Program.

No. Due to State requirements, doors will be locked as soon as the class begins; therefore, students cannot attend class after class has begun. For example, if class begins at 6:30PM, no one should enter after this time. Please be sure to plan your route to the school and leave early enough to get to our location 15 minutes prior to your class start time. Otherwise, you won't be able to take the class and will need to reschedule.
If you meet the requirements listed above, and have held a learner's permit for at least a year and a day, you may call to make an appointment.
IMPORTANT: When you call to schedule your appointment, please note that we are required to send the student's information a week in advance to the DDS. Please schedule 2 weeks prior to secure your child a place on the road test schedule.
Taking the test with us offers the student the opportunity to test in one of our cars that he or she used for their behind-the- wheel training. We also adhere to the schedule, so if you sign up for a 10AM appointment, that is when you will meet the road test instructor to perform your road test. No waiting around to be called!
The online Driver's Education course does not include the Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program (ADAP), which is a required course for students under the age of 18 to get their license. The online course is also not accepted by your insurance company for an insurance reduction of up to 10% off. Insurance companies are required to give you an insurance reduction if you take the in-person, 30-hour class. You will also not receive the $150 adjusted income state tax credit by taking the online Driver's Education course.
Driver's education is for NEW teen drivers seeking to get their driver's license. In driver's education, you will essentially learn the rules of the road for driving.
Defensive Driving is a class for more experienced drivers that may need to take the class for minor infractions, such as speeding or another traffic violation. Someone may be taking the class as a legal requirement, reduce insurance rates, or reduce points on their license. This class is a more in-depth look at what happens when driving laws are broken.
Our school has taught driver’s education since opening and our certified instructors have trained thousands of students to drive.
We perform third party testing for the State Road Test, even if you have taken the in-person or online Joshua's Law class and behind-the-wheel training at another state certified program.
We are also licensed by the state of Georgia to teach the Risk Reduction Program, also known as DUI School,
both virtually and in person.

The Georgia Driver’s Education Commission offers the Georgia Driver’s Education Grant Scholarship Program to offer driver’s education to Georgia students. The grant scholarship program is open to Georgia residents ages fifteen through seventeen who possess a valid Georgia Instructional Permit or Driver’s License and wish to satisfy the Joshua’s Law driver’s education requirement by completing thirty hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind the wheel driving instruction with an approved instructor.
